- Is the blade stainless steel self sharpening?
- The blades are self-sharpening, but not stainless steel. While stainless is good for many applications it’s not the best for Dahle cutting blades as it's typically brittle. Dahle’s Solingen steel blades are hardened to 56 Rockwell -- the optimum hardness for their applications.
